Chandni is the youngest of six children growing up in a loving Christian family in rural Pakistan. Although her family faces daily hardships, she is known for her joyful spirit, kind heart and contagious smile.

Even with many responsibilities, Chandni embraces childhood with joy and reminds everyone around her that hope can flourish even in difficult circumstances.
Growing up with responsibility
For more than twenty years, Chandni's family has worked as agricultural laborers on land they do not own.
Her parents work long hours each day, earning about $70 USD per month — barely enough to provide food and other necessities for their family. Even at six years old, Chandni does her part to help however she can.
"I want to become a doctor." For generations, Chandni's family never had the opportunity to receive an education. Today, she dreams of caring for sick children and serving families in communities where healthcare is difficult to access.
